1. Who we are and acceptance

1.1 www.legaleva.com (the “Platform”) are owned by UNI FinTech Private Limited a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, CIN U74140MH2012PTC231716, with its registered office at S-193, Haware Fantasia Business Park, Sector-30A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Thane (MH) 400703 (“Company”, “we”, “us”) and operated by Zencommerce India Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, CIN U72909MH2016FTC287183, with its registered office at Shop No.C-9, Neighbourhood Shopping Complex Ground Floor, Sector-04, Nerul , Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India - 400706 (“Technology Partner”, “Website Developer”).

1.2 These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform. By creating an account, enrolling in a course or otherwise using the Platform, you accept these Terms. This is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not require a physical or digital signature.

1.3 These Terms are read together with our Course Enrolment & Terms of Sale, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and the other policies linked in the footer (together, the “Agreement”). If there is a conflict, the more specific document prevails: a course page, then the Enrolment Terms, then these Terms.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

2.2 A person under 18 may use the Platform only through an account created and supervised by a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the minor’s use (see the Minors & Parental Consent Policy).

2.3 If you accept these Terms for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

3. Your account

3.1 Give accurate, current information and keep it updated.

3.2 An account is for one individual. Do not share your login, OTP or password.

3.3 Tell us immediately at if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us, unless the misuse resulted from our failure to keep the Platform secure.

4. Licence to use the Platform

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content of courses you have enrolled in, for your own non-commercial learning, during the access period stated on the course page. Corporate licences are governed by the relevant corporate agreement.

5. What you must not do

You must not:

  • copy, download (other than through an in-app offline feature), record, screen-capture, re-upload, sell, rent or share any course content;
  • circumvent, disable or interfere with digital rights management, watermarks or other technical protection measures;
  • share your account or resell access;
  • use bots, scrapers or automated tools, or reverse-engineer the Platform;
  • use our content to train, fine-tune or benchmark any artificial-intelligence model without our written permission;
  • cheat in assessments, impersonate another learner, or submit work that is not your own where the course prohibits it;
  • upload or share information that is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy (including bodily privacy), defamatory, harmful to children, infringing of intellectual property, deceptive or misleading, impersonating another person, threatening to the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India or public order, malware, or otherwise unlawful;
  • create or share synthetically generated audio, images or video that falsely depict a real person or event; or
  • harass, threaten or discriminate against any learner, instructor or staff member.

6. Content you post

6.1 You keep ownership of the projects, posts, comments and other material you submit (“User Content”).

6.2 You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, moderate and transmit your User Content only to operate the Platform. We will not use your name, image or work in advertising without your separate written consent.

6.3 For User Content we act as an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We may remove or disable access to User Content that breaches these Terms or the law, and we act on complaints as set out in the Grievance Redressal Policy.

7. AI-assisted features

7.1 Features such as the AI tutor, recommendations and automated grading use artificial intelligence and may produce incomplete or incorrect output. Treat them as learning aids, not professional advice.

7.2 You may ask for human review of any automated grade that affects your certificate.

7.3 We label synthetically generated audio or video on the Platform, such as AI avatar instructors. Do not enter sensitive personal data into AI features. Misusing our AI tools to create unlawful content may lead to removal of content, suspension of your account, and reporting to authorities where the law requires.

8. Intellectual property

All course content, software, designs, trade marks and logos on the Platform belong to UNI FinTech Private Limited and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. See the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.

9. Changes to courses and the Platform

9.1 We may update course content to keep it current, for example when software tools change.

9.2 During your access period we will not materially reduce the core content, live sessions or features promised on the course page. If we must, we will offer you a comparable course, at your choice.

10. Suspension and termination

10.1 You may close your account at any time from Settings.

10.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Except for serious breaches such as piracy, fraud, harassment or threats to safety, we will first give you notice and a reasonable chance to respond.

10.3 Refunds on termination are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Disclaimers

We provide the Platform with reasonable skill and care. We do not guarantee any job, salary, promotion, admission, exam result or rank. See the Disclaimer for details.

12. Limitation of liability

12.1 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with a course is limited to the fees you paid for that course in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of opportunity or expected earnings.

12.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You will compensate us for reasonable losses, including legal costs, that arise directly from your breach of these Terms, your User Content infringing someone’s rights, or your violation of law.

14. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, government orders or widespread internet or power outages. We will extend your access period for any time the Platform was unavailable for this reason beyond 72 hours.

15. Communications and user advisories

15.1 You agree to receive transactional messages (order confirmations, invoices, class schedules, security alerts) by email, SMS, in-app notice or WhatsApp. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent and you can opt out at any time.

15.2 At least once every three months we will remind users that breaching these Terms or our Privacy Policy may lead to removal of content or suspension of access, may attract penalties under applicable law, and that we must report certain offences (including those under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012) to the authorities.

16. Governing law and disputes

16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

16.2 Please first raise any dispute with our Grievance Officer. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer it to mediation, and failing settlement, to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat of arbitration is Mumbai and the language is English. Proceedings may be conducted online.

16.3 Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from filing a complaint before a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, approaching the National Consumer Helpline, or seeking urgent relief from a court.

16.4 Subject to the above, courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.

17. Changes to these Terms

We will notify material changes by email and an on-site notice at least 15 days before they take effect. Changes do not apply retrospectively to courses already paid for. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the effective date.

18. General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights; we may assign ours to a successor business with notice to you. The English version prevails over any translation.
