These rules apply in live classes, forums, cohort chats, comments, project submissions and any messaging on Legal Eva. They keep the community safe and useful for everyone, including learners under 18.
1. Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region, language or any other characteristic.
2. Keep it lawful and appropriate
Do not post content that is obscene, sexual, pornographic or harmful to children; defamatory; invasive of anyone’s privacy; infringing of copyright or trade marks; deceptive or impersonating someone; promoting violence, self-harm or illegal activity; or containing malware. Do not create or share synthetic or morphed images, audio or video of instructors, learners or anyone else.
3. Protect privacy
Do not share other people’s phone numbers, addresses, photos, screenshots of their messages, or recordings of class without consent. Do not record live classes yourself; we record them where announced and share recordings with your batch.
4. Academic integrity
Submit your own work. Do not share answers to graded assessments, use another person to take a test, or use AI tools where the assignment says they are not allowed. Credit sources and collaborators.
5. No spam or selling
No unsolicited promotion, referral links, recruitment for other courses, chain messages, or pyramid schemes.
6. Live class etiquette
Join with your registered name, keep your microphone muted unless speaking, keep video and backgrounds appropriate, and follow the instructor’s moderation decisions.
7. Safeguarding minors
7.1 Instructors, mentors and staff communicate with learners only through Platform channels, never through personal phone, social media or private video calls.
7.2 No one may ask a learner under 18 for personal photos, personal contact details or private meetings.
7.3 Report any concern to info@legaleva.com or with the Report button. We act immediately and report offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 to the police as the law requires.
8. Reporting
Use the Report button on any post or message, or email info@legaleva.com. Reports are confidential. Timelines are in the Grievance Redressal Policy.
9. Enforcement
| Severity | Examples | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Off-topic posts, mild rudeness | Content removed and a warning |
| Serious | Harassment, sharing assessment answers, spam | Content removed; suspension for 7–30 days |
| Severe | Piracy, threats, sexual content, impersonation, any conduct endangering a child | Permanent ban; report to authorities where required |
We give you a chance to respond before suspension, except where immediate action is needed to protect someone. You can appeal a decision to the Grievance Officer within 15 days.
10. Reminder
We will remind all users of these rules and the consequences of breaking them at least once every three months.
